By using V1 LIFE, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. V1 LIFE is a personal safety communication service that allows users to connect with trusted people, initiate safety alerts and Safe Checks, and share available safety status and location information with selected recipients.

Safety Service

V1 LIFE is not an emergency service and does not replace 911, police, fire, medical services, or other emergency services. V1 LIFE does not guarantee that an alert, push notification, SMS, email, location update, or other communication will be delivered, viewed, acknowledged, or acted upon.

If you are experiencing an emergency requiring immediate professional assistance, contact the appropriate emergency service.

Trusted Contacts

V1 LIFE users may designate trusted contacts to receive safety communications. Being entered as a contact does not by itself enroll an external phone recipient in SMS alerts.

External phone recipients must separately and voluntarily opt in before receiving V1 LIFE safety SMS messages.

V1 LIFE SMS Safety Alerts

V1 LIFE SMS Safety Alerts are sent only to external trusted contacts who have explicitly opted in.

To opt in, a recipient sends JOIN followed by the unique invitation code provided for that trusted-contact relationship to the V1 LIFE messaging number. No safety SMS alerts are enabled for that recipient until the opt-in is successfully validated.

After opting in, recipients may receive V1 LIFE safety alerts related to safety events or Safe Checks initiated by the person who designated them as a trusted contact.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to opt out of V1 LIFE SMS Safety Alerts.

Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing V1 LIFE or creating an account.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Location and Alert Links

Safety communications may contain available location information or a secure link to an alert page. Anyone possessing a valid alert link may be able to view the information available through that link until the alert is stopped or the link expires.

Location availability and accuracy depend on the user's device, permissions, network connectivity, and surrounding conditions.

Subscriptions

Some V1 LIFE features may require a paid subscription. Purchases made through the iOS application are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's applicable purchase and subscription terms.

Acceptable Use

You may not use V1 LIFE to send unwanted communications, harass another person, impersonate another person, provide false emergency information, abuse safety features, interfere with the service, or use the service for unlawful purposes.

Availability

V1 LIFE may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may experience interruptions or failures. No online or telecommunications service can guarantee uninterrupted operation or delivery.

Privacy

Use of V1 LIFE is also subject to the V1 LIFE Privacy Policy.
